WRJ’s flagship event, Fried Women's Summit, is a 24+ hour experience to hone leadership skills, further Jewish learning, partake in women-led worship and music, and deepen connections with other sisterhoods, women, and the WRJ community. Attendees will participate in three workshop blocks and learning sessions, experience meaningful women-led worship and music, and hear from global Reform Movement grantees at our fundraising lunch featuring the YES Fund (WRJ's philanthropic arm).

What you’ll learn, do, and accomplish in just over 24 hours at FWS:

  • Attend 3 different workshops, spread out over 3 themed blocks with each covering 1 of WRJ’s pillars: Sisterhood, Spirituality, and Social Justice
  • Get the latest updates and analysis on major issues affecting North American Reform Judaism and Jewish women today, over 2 different keynote addresses and panel discussions
  • Sit with your WRJ District – whichever of our 6 geographic regions you fall into – over a lovely welcome dinner
  • Enjoy 4 different meals, all included in your registration fee
  • Raise your voice with dozens of other attendees as part of WRJ’s Choir, to rehearse and then perform at Thursday morning’s worship service
  • Hear how your support of WRJ allows us to help shape and contribute to Reform institutions and individuals as well as innovative Jewish organizations around the world 
  • Want your URJ Biennial-attending friends/family to join you at part of FWS, but can’t make it for the whole time? Invite them to add on Thursday’s WRJ fundraising lunch within their Biennial registration so they too can hear from grantees about the important work we support.
  • Gear up and acclimate in a more intimate, supportive, female- and nonbinary-identifying setting (WRJ’s FWS) in the day leading up to URJ’s Biennial, before you join in with hundreds of other Reform individuals for the Movement’s largest gathering!
  • Situate yourself mere minutes away from the Biennial’s location, at a surrounding hotel – all of the convenience, none of the chaos!
